Answer:

2. 150 students 3. 110 sqaure feet

Explanation:

2.

a) Divide 45 by 3 to find out how many students per one counselor there are. 45/3=15.

b) This means that the ratio of students to counselors is 15:1. The counselor number which is 1, needs to get to 10. To do this, multiply the entire ratio by 10. The ratio is now 150:10.

c) The final answer can be retrieved. If the ratio is 150:10, that means there are 150 students per 10 counselors, so the answer is 150 students.

3. To find out how many square feet Tanya paints per hour, all that needs to be done is doubling the amount she paints in half an hour. The ratio of square feet to minutes is 55:30. The 30 needs to become a 60 (as there are 60 minutes in an hour). The ratio will be multiplied by 2 to get 110:60. The final answer can be retrieved. Tanya paints 110 square feet every hour.

if there's 3 counselors / 45 students.

3 counselors / 45 students = 1 counselor / 15 student

10 counselors multiplied by 15 students = 150 maximum students allowed.

Tanya paints 55 ft^2 / 30mins.

60 mins = 1 hour

60 mins / 30 mins = 2

55 multiplied by 2 = 110

(There were two different people mentioned in the problem)

Tanya, or Angela, paints 110 square feet every hour.
