200+40=240 sq units

Explanation:

The rectangle's area is 200 sq units because 10 times 20 = 200

If you take both the triangles and put them together they form a smaller rectangle. The smaller rectangles height is 4 (given) and the base is 10 (because its half of the bigger rectangles base. You do base times height (4 times 10) and you get 40

Big Rectangle Area: 200

Small rectangle Area: 40

Total 240 (200+40)
