Question 10

Write an equation of a circle with center (-5, -8) and radius 2.
(x - 5)² + (1 - 8) = 4
b (x - 5)2 + (x - 8) = 2
(x + 5)2 + (y + 8) = 4
od (x + 5)² + (y + 8)² = 2.

It’s the third one because we know that the negative 5 Will be positive in the equation same with the 8 and the radius is 2 so square it and it’s 4

Answer:

(X+5)^2+(y+8)^2=4

Explanation:

The equation of circle is

(X-a)^2+(y-b)^2=r^2 where (a,b) is center and r is radius of circle.

We have that center is (-5,-8) and radisu r=2 so we have equation:

(X+5)^2+(y+8)^2=4
