What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (2, 9)(2,9) and (18, -3)(18,−3)?

The slope's formula is -->
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Let's set:

  • (x1, y1) = (2,9)
  • (x2, y2) = (18,-3)

either other works, I just chose it that way

So:


slope = (-3-9)/(18-2) =(-12)/(16) =-(3*4)/(4*4) =-(3)/(4)
