I need some help for two math questions.. [These are meant to solve for x btw]

1. S = bx - bc + cx
2. S = 2( ab + ax + bx)

I don't understand how you're suppose to solve it at all.. any mathematical explanation would be much appreciated

x=S−2ab/2(a+b)

Explanation:

Move all terms to the left side and set equal to zero. Then set each factor equal to zero.

x=S+bcb+c

Isolate the variable by dividing each side by factors that don't contain the variable.

x=S−2ab2(a+b)
