Explanation:

Create a rectangle and use any variable to lable it.

I used c and I know that the length is twice the width, so I added "c" for both widths and "2c" for both lengths.

Count the number of c's up and you will get 6.

Divide 300/6 to get the value for c.

You get 50 for c, so plug it in for the length 2(50) or 100, and plug it in for the width or 1(50).

Now that you have the length and width of the triangle, use length times width to find the area.

100x50=5000
