To solve this question we will have to factorise

x^2-3x-5x+15<0

x(x-3)-5(x-3)

(x-5)(x-3)<0

x-5<0

Add 5 to both sides

x<5

x-3<0

Add 3 to both sides

x<3

Therefore x<3,x<5
