Answer:

2y = 8x + 2

Explanation:

Slope-intercept form is y = mx + b. The original equation is just rearranged.

m = slope (-8)

b = y-intercept (2)

When rearranging an equation, you must add/subtract accordingly, in order to properly move terms to the other side of the equation.

-8x + 8x = 2 - 2y + 2y + 8x

2y = 8x + 2

I checked this on desmos.com, and the original equation's graph and the final equation's graph lay along the same line.

add 2y to each side

subtract -8x
