Answer:

Yes. Less specific. Kingdoms are slightly more specific than Domains. Remember that living things are always divided into 5 kingdoms.

  • Animals
  • Plants
  • Fungi
  • Protist
  • Monera

An easier way to remember this mnemonic sentence, Any popcorn for perfect movies? Try writing it down with the meaning behind it! It will help you a lot. And remember the levels of classification:

  • Domain
  • Kingdom
  • Phylum
  • Class
  • Order
  • Family
  • Genus
  • Species

The higher the list is, the less specific, the lower, the more specific. You may want to write down this mnemonic sentence as well, to help you remember the levels of classification; Did king Philip come over for grape soda?

Answer:

It is less specific. I know it can be hard to memorize all of the taxa but I just try to use a mnemonic (which I included below)

Step-by-step explanation:

Domain

Kingdom

Phylum

Class

Order

Family

Genus

Species

*Remember that in order to give an animal a scientific name we use the genus and species. Scientific names are always italicized and the Genus will be capitalized while the species is lowercase. The genus comes first.

Here is a mnemonic to help memorize the 7 taxa (Taxa is just the fancy word for each group in our classification system) Daring Kings Play Cards On Funny Green Stools.

Tip: The top of the category is the broadest and the further down you go, the more specific your categories get.

I hope this helps! ;)
