The author compares how people treats pets and pests because the author wants to emphasize different opinions from people. Some people from different places like for example, people from North America or Europe consider pigeons as pests (animals people don’t like being with). However in other places like Turkey or Belgium, they adore pigeons and believes they get raised to do pigeon racing.

I hope I answered your question :D Now here’s my question you guys must answer in the comments.
- How was your day?

- Do you like pizza?(Necessary question)

- Have you heard of this emotional anime called “The Lie Of April.” It’s a really emotional story but carries a wide understanding/life lesson.
Aight I’m gotta leave, bye! \(^[]^)/

Answer:

In the article "Building for Pests", the author compares how people treat "pets" and "pests" because she wants to show that people have different ideas of "pets" and "pests." For example, in some parts of the world, some animals are considered valuable, so they are called pets, while in the other parts of the world those animals are considered "pests". She gives an example of pigeons, which are considered as pests in North America, while in Belgium and Turkey, these animals are raised for pigeon racing.

The main objective of her article is to change people's perception of "pets" and "pests" and their treatment, in order to improve their living conditions.
