A kettle is boiled and the

temperature, T°C, of the water
after t minutes is given by the
formula T = 181 +28. After how
many minutes is the temperature:
a 64°C?
b 92.8°C?

this is maths don't know how to change

a) it would take approximately 4.18 minutes for the temperature to reach 64°C b) it would take approximately 3.15 minutes for the temperature to reach 92.8°C .

How to find After the temperatures after at different minutes

We need to set up the equations for T = 181 +28

a) For T = 64°C

64 = 181 + 28t

Subtract 181 from both sides:

28t = -117

Divide by 28:

t =
-(117)/(28)

So, it would take approximately 4.18 minutes for the temperature to reach 64°C

b) For T = 92.8°C

92.8 = 181 + 28t

Subtract 181 from both sides:

28t = -88.2

Divide by 28:

t = -
(88.2)/(28)

So, it would take approximately 3.15 minutes for the temperature to reach 92.8°C .
