We learn about how white settlers came to North America, but from what I remember, I never really learned much about spanish literature. I've read African American Literature. American literature, even Native American Literature. So why not deepen my knowledge on Hispanic American Literature on the women who raised kids and worked on the farmes with thier husband or when their husbands went off to war. I want to hear about the children who grew up in a entirely different culture. I believe that since American kids like me have little knowledge on this topic, that we should start adding it into our everyday English classes!
