If seen ethically it is not good to state that there must be less will when controlling the disease that is spread in elders.
But is also states that it is more important to save the life of children because they are the future of the nation. We just cannot let go the children as there will be no future left.
Whereas in case the older and infirm people dies it will be more emotional to let them go and pay less will to control the disease spread in them. There will be no effect on the future generation even if they die.
So, yes practically there should be more focus on the control of the disease spreading in infants rather than elderly people.
