There are Mexican and Chinese restaurants next to stores which sell African and European goods.

America is known as a country of immigrants. As people from all over Europe and the world have come to settle in the United States, Cultural diffusion between all kinds of traditions, cuisines and even languages has taken place.

The early settlers of the 13 colonies were English people and through along their language and religion.

The next wave of immigrants came from Ireland and Western Europe including Germany, Austria etc. They brought along their foods such as sausages and fries and completely changed the American pallet.

In the late 19th century, a wave of Italian immigrants brought along with them, the art of Pizza making. Today, America is famous for it's local varieties of Pizza.

Hispanic language, culture and food are not completely diffused with the wider pop culture. Taco Bell is a household name, while many children are now learning Spanish.
