$\frac {sin\ A}{a}=\frac {sin\ C}{c}$ making c the subject of the formula then
$c=\frac {a sin\ C}{sin\ A}$ Substituting 8cm for a, 55 degrees for A and 82 degrees for C then

$c=\frac {8 sin\ 82^(\circ)}{sin\ 55^(\circ)}=9.671153\ cm\approx 9.7\ cm$
