Answer:

The answer is b. Britain and France helped the empire win the war.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Crimean War (1853–1856) happened to gain influence over territories of the declining Ottoman Empire. Britain and France successfully helped the Ottoman Empire against Russia. To finance the War, on 24 August 1855, the Ottoman Empire first entered into loan contracts with French, British and other European banks. The terms of these loans were thought to favor to the French and British banks. The Ottoman government was unable to repay the loans and eventually declared a sovereign default on its loan repayments with Decree of Ramadan on 30 October 1875. Then the creditors earned special rights to collect various tax and customs revenues within the Ottoman Empire.
