#1) A hot air balloon is at an altitude (height) of 113.2 meters. The balloon's altitude decreases by 10.8 meters every minute. Which equation can be used to find the number of minutes, m, it takes the balloon's altitude to reach 70 meters? *

Explanation:

First form yourself an equation, 113.2-10.8x ≤70

Now begin to work it out

*113.2-10.8(1) ≤70 (instead of x, put a number, this will be how many minutes

1~ 102.4 is not less than or equal to 70, so we repeat this process

2~ 91.9

3~81.1

4~70.3 this is not the answer because even though its at 70 there is still a .3 so we keep going,

5~59.5

59.5 is ≤ 70, so the answer is 5 minutes
