6. What are the possible values for b for each the following values of c, for x^2 + bx + c if b > 0. List at least TWO possible integers for each value.

1. c = -7
integers: 1. ? 2. ?

2. c = -3
integers: 1. ? 2. ?

3. c = 6
integers: 1. ? 2. ?

4. c = 12
integers: 1. ? 2. ?

I asked this question a couple of minutes ago and I feel like it isn't being understood completely so I edited the question to specify a little bit and posting it again. I am hoping you all understand it now and give me the best results. A huge thank you to all who attempts to answer!

I think the answer is 3. C= -3 and integer 2
The shortcut is if u have this brand calculator .. ‘ press mode, 5, 3 ‘....the quadratic calculator will appear and add the values to get whole numbers and not imaginary numbers ( i will be shown along with the numbers on the calculator )

Answer:

Look at explanation plz

Explanation:

1) so we know that b cannot be anything lower than 0

So let’s substitute -7 in place of c:

x^2+bx-7

Factors of -7: 7,-1. -7,1

Only factor pair that Will not result in a negative or 0: 7,-1

Integers for B: 7,-1

Let’s do the same with number 2:

X^2+bx-3

Factors of -3: 3,-1. -3,1

Only factor pair that will not result in a negative or 0: 3,-1

Integers for B:3,-1

3) you know the drill:

6= 3,2 -3,-2. 6,1 -6,-1

Positive integers of 6: 3,2 or 6,1

Values for B: 3,2 OR 6,1 your choice

4) 12= 12,1. -1,-12. 4,3. -4,-3 6,2. -6,-2

Values for B: 12,1 or 4,3 or 6,2
