Hello There!!

Given:-

Altitude (AB) = 6cm

Base (BC) = 8cm

To Find

Hypotenuse (AC) = ?

\fbox \text{According To Pythagoras Theorem = }

\text{(Hypotenuse)² = (Altitude)² + (Base)²}

Inserting The Values

\text{(Hypotenuse)²} =( {6})^(2) + (8) {}^(2)

(\text{AC}) {}^(2) = (6) {}^(2) + (8) {}^(2) \\ \implies \text{(AC)} {}^(2) = 36 + 64 \\ \implies\text{AC} = √(100) \\ \implies\text{AC} = 10 \\ \\ \therefore \text{Hypotenuse (AC)} = 10 \text{cm}

Correct Option D= 10cm

Hope this helps
