Robert has 40 coins in a jar on his dresser. There are only quarters and dimes in the jar. If the total amount in the jar is $7.60, how many quarters and dimes does Robert have?

Answer:

24 quarters and 16 dimes

Explanation:

24 quarters is equal to $6.00

16 dimes is equal to $1.60

24+16=40

$6.00+$1.60=$7.60

so robert would have 40 coins equal to $7.60 if he had 24 quarters and 16 dimes.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

There can be more than one answer

Explanation:

1 dime=0.10

1 quarter=0.25

(10 dimes make a dollar and 4 quarters make a dollar)

I would say 28 quarters and 6 dimes
