Answer:

i would tell him the symptoms of the disease and how to help him out of it.

Step-by-step explanation:

I would tell my cousin that major depression is a serious illness that affects his feelings negatively by affecting his thoughts and his feelings. That though it is treatable, it comes with a lot of feelings that are usually feelings of sadness and it could keep make his life dormant by making him lose interest in all the activities that used to excite him. And how it could result in emotional and physical problems for him. I would make mention of some of the symptoms of this disease:

  • Sadness
  • lack of interest in activities
  • Weight loss or gain
  • Guilt feeling
  • increase in purposeless and damaging activities
  • Thoughts of death
  • difficulty in concentrating

Answer and Explanation:

I would tell my cousin that depression is is an illness that causes a person to think and feel negatively for prolonged periods of time.

It causes a person to lose interest in activities he would otherwise have found to be fun and also affects eating and sleeping habits.

It could be treated using medications like antidepressants and also through psychotherapy.
