Autotroph are the organisms which makes their own food such as plants. Plants make their own food in the process of photosynthesis. They use carbondioxode and water in the presence of sunlight produces glucose and oxygen.

Heterotroph are the organisms which are unable to make their own food. They feed on other animals for uptake of energy. All animals except plants and algae are heterotroph.
