Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The values of a manager determine his style of leadership. Being a manager, one can learn the kind of leadership model that works best in specific situations- from experience, or training courses, books, etc. Although one will sincerely apply only those styles of leadership that aligns with his/ her values related to leadership.

For instance, it may be well known to a manager that building up informal communications and strong interpersonal relationships in the workplace would be a good thing for her company which gives innovation as the topmost priority. But having this knowledge does not mean she will apply the same. She might have acquired few sets of values from her childhood, from earlier job experience, and from the family which diminishes her belief in building informal relationships in the workplace. She will always feel uncomfortable with this type of transformational leadership model.

Hard work is one of my core value, hence I use it in my leadership model. I do always prefer people who are hard-working, and I tend to spend more time with them. I can also cut them some slack when they do few mistakes.

Besides, valuing 'hard work' may lead to some negative actions from me as well. I may not rate or appraise people who are intelligent and often find smart ways of doing works. This improves efficiency but due to my values of leadership, they are always ignored by me.
