Answer: 4000 crickets

Explanation:

Step 1: convert 2 years into months, by noting that 12 months = 1 year

2 years = 12 x 2

2 years = 24 months

From the information given, if 250 crickets doubles every 6 months, Where we have 24/6 cycles of 6 months in 2 years = 4 cycles

250 x 2 = cycle 1 = 500

500 x 2= cycle 2 = 1000

1000 x 2 = cycle 3 = 2000

2000 x 2= cycle 4 = 4000

Therefore, in two years, number of crickets will be 4000.

The number of crickets after 2 years is 4000.

Explanation:

Given,

Number of crickets = 250

It doubles in number in every 6 months.

To find the number of crickets after 2 years.

Now,

Presently, number of crickets = 250

In 1st 6 months number of crickets = 250×2 = 500

In 2nd 6 months ( after 1 year) number of crickets = 500×2 = 1000

In 3rd 6 months number of crickets = 1000×2 = 2000

In last 6 months number of crickets = 2000×2 = 4000

Hence,

The number of crickets after 2 years = 4000
