Answer:

In a poem Sweet Like a Crow, Michael Ondaatje through the whole poem describes one person`s voice by comparing it to innumerable life-like situations which serve him to explain how irritable mentioned voice is. For example like a nose being hit by a mango - we can imagine what sound does a person produces when hit by a mango (or any other object), so all these intentionally used situations, which product sound is imaginable, help us to create a picture (sound in our mind) and in that way Ondaatje passes the main idea to readers. In the very name of the poem he ironically uses adjective sweet which gets its deeper root throughout the poem.
