Answer: 2 1/2 quarts of paint left.

Explanation:

First, we need to convert 2 gallons to quarts.

1 gallon=4 quarts

So, 2 gallons= 2x4=8 quarts.

She used 5 quarts of paint on the porch and 1/2 quart of paint on the swing.

We can add to find the total amount of paint Blanca used.

1/2+5=5 1/2 quarts.

We can subtract to find out how much paint Blanca has left.

8-5 1/2=2 1/2 quarts of paint left.

Blanca has 2 1/2 quarts of paint left.

I hope this helps!

Paint unused is 0.625 gallons.

Explanation:

Quantity of green paint bought = 2 gallons

Now we have to convert gallons to quarts using the conversion factor

1 gallon = 4 quarts

2 gallons = 2 × 4 quarts = 8 quarts

Usage of paint her front = 5 quarts

Usage of paint the front porch swing =
$(1)/(2) quart = 0.5 quart

So used paint = 5 + 0.5 = 5.5 quarts

To find the unused paint, we have to subtract the used quantity from already bought.

Unused paint = 8 quarts - (5.5 quarts) = 2.5 quarts.

So Unused green paint is 2.5 quarts or 0.625 gallons.
