main idea : land gained by the Indian Removal Act were to be slave states because of the Dred Scott decision

dred Scott upheld slavery in United States territories

denied the legality of black citizenship in America even though they were considered 3/5 when it came to voting

declared the Missouri Compromise to be unconstitutional

Missouri compromise : 1820 admitting Missouri as a slave state and Maine as a free state

Indian Removal Act by President Andrew Jackson on May 28, 1830 :

gave the President the power to force Native American tribes to move to land west of the Mississippi River.
