How can I take "The company is trying to sell the consumer 'doubt'," and evolve to something greater, with more meaning and with more precise words?

Hey there!

The company is trying to sell the consumer 'doubt'.

You could say something like this:

The company is aiming to spread doubt into the minds of the consumers.

It would also depend on the context, but I tried to reword this to make it sound more meaningful. I kept the word doubt, because I thought it sounded powerful.

Hope this helps!
