Answer:

-12.5

Explanation:

To easily get the area of the parallelogram, we will label the vertices .

A= 1, -2.... X1, y1

B= 5,8... X2, y2

C= 3,3.... X3, y3

D= 0,8.... X4, y4

Before that, let me state that:

The Area of a parallelogram is defined as :

1/2 det (X1 (y2 - y3) + X2 ( y3 - y1) + X3 (y1 - y2)

In the order from the question:

A = (-2(8-3) + 5(3-3) + 3( 3-8)) / 2

A = -2(5) + 5(0) + 3(-5)

A = -10 + 0 - 15 / 2

A = -25/2

A = -12.5
