Answer:

x=2, y=6

Explanation:

If you would like you do not have to do it by graphing.

Since y = 2x+2 you can plug in 2x+2 for y in the first equation:

x+2x+2=8

3x+2=8

3x=6

x=2

Now plug 2 into either equation.

y=2x2+2

y=4+2

y=6

Answer:

x=2 y=6

Explanation:

x+y= 8

there are lots of pairs

y= 2x+2

there are lots of possibilities

but if

x+y=8 when y= 2x+2

then you plot both of these lines on a graph

you can do this by replacing

x by other numbers in both of the equations

i have done this and i found out x=2 and y=6
