The identity is true. sin x - sinx cos²x = sin³x

Explanation:

  • Step 1: Prove the expression. sin x - sin x cos x = sin³x

Left Hand Side = sin x - sin x cos²x

= sin x(1 - cos²x) (Taking sin x as common)

= sin x (sin²x) (∵ 1 - cos²x = sin²x)

= sin³x

= Right Hand Side
