Answer:

Best course grade that can be earned = 87.25%

Explanation:

Let the total number of marks of the exam be = 100

Exam portion conducted until now is except 15% , it means remaining 85% test has been conducted & evaluated

  • Test Conducted, Evaluated : 85% of 100 = (85 / 100) x 100 → = 85

Score out of conducted (85% test) is 85% : 85% of 85

= [ 85 / 100 ] x 85 → 72.25

  • Test Remaining : 15% of 100 = 15

Maximum score attainable out of 15 = 15

  • Hence : Best earn-able grade =

Grade earned out of 85% test done + Best grade attainable out of remaining 15% test

= 72.25 +15 = 87.5

Best earn-able grade in percentage = (Marks obtained / Total Marks)x 100

= ( 87.5 / 100 ) → = 87.25 %

Answer:

87.25%

Explanation:

Data given in the question

Before the final exam for a course, the average percentage is 85%

The counting percentage of the course grade is 15%

So by considering the above information, the best course grade your friend is

= Average\ percentage* remaining\ percentage + percentage\ value* counting\ percentage=
0.85* 0.85 + 100\%* 0.15

= 0.7225 + 15

= 87.25%

The remaining percentage is come from

= 100% - 15%

= 85%

Hence, the best course grade is 87.25%
