$y=2x-1 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: ..(1) \\ 2x+y=3 \: \: \: \: \: \: \:...(2) \: \: \: \: \: \: (given)$

put equation 1 in equation 2

$2x+2x - 1=3 \\ 4x = 4 \\ x = (4)/(4) = 1 \\ \\ x = 1 \\ \\$

$2(1)+y=3 \\ 2 + y = 3 \\ y = 3 - 2 \\ y = 1$
