A gift box of cookies has 4 chocolate chip cookies and 7 peanut butter cookies. Use c to represent the cost of each chocolate chip cookie and p to represent the cost of each peanut butter cookie. Write and I simplify an expression that represents the total cost of 5 gift box sets.

If there are 4 chocolate chip cookies and 7 peanut butter cookies in each gift box, you will need to multiply the price, c/p, by the number of cookies. This will give you:

4c + 7p

Now if you wanna find how much 5 gift boxes cost, you'll need to multiply that expression by 5. Put parenthesis around 4c + 7p, and add a 5 before the first parenthesis. That will bring you to the answer:

5(4c + 7p)
