Answer:

No I do not believe that Native Americans have enough freedoms on reservations to preserve and maintain their traditions, customs and values.

Step-by-step explanation:

No because Native Americans were greatly affected by these three points:

  • The European colonization of the Americas, which began in 1492;
  • Their population declined drastically due to introduced diseases;
  • The native Americans experienced many warfare, including biological warfare, territorial confiscation and slavery.

I believe that Native Americans have enough freedoms on reservations to preserve and maintain their traditions, customs and values. This is because Native Americans currently enjoy a high degree of freedom and independence from the federal government. For example, Native American tribes are able to have tribal court hearings, and thus maintain their own political systems alive. They are also able to host their own cultural events. Finally, they are able to independently control the resources of their reservation to a very large extent. However, there are many issues in reservations that still require our attention, such as the lack of quality education and the prevalence of poverty and addiction.
