Answer:

Selling price of a shoes= $ 29.99

a) The sales tax on shoes= 6.5%

Total cost of shoes= $ 29.99 + 6.5% of 29.99

Total cost of shoes= $ 29.99 +
(6.5)/(100) × 29.99

Total cost of shoes= $ 29.99+ 1.95

Total cost of shoes= $ 31.94

b) Cost of shipping = 15 % of total cost

cost of shipping =
(15)/(100) × 31.94

Cost of Shipping= $ 1.47

Total Cost of shoes plus shipping= $ 31.94 + 1.47

Total cost of shoes= $ 36.41

Since total cost is greater than $ 35 we are qualified for the discount of 10% on original price of shoes

Now, price of shoes= $29.99 - 10 % of 29.99

Price of shoes= $ 27

The New cost of shoes after discount =$ 27+ $ 1.47

New cost of shoes= $28.47
