Explanation:

The 1 is the y-intercept, which is where the line goes through the y-axis, the -5/6 is the slope which is rise over run. So the 5 is how high it is going up if positive, if negitive going down. The 6 is how much it goes to the left or right. If negitive, it goes to the left, if positive it goes to the right. if it just a number not a fraction, (i.e 2) then it would be 2/1 so to up and 1 right. See attached graph for example and answer.
