So using the property of similar triangles:

To Find 'x':


(39)/(x-6) =(24)/(18)

On Cross multiplication:


39*18=24(x-6)\\\\39*18=24(x)+24(-6)\\\\702=24x-144\\

Adding '144' both sides:


702+144=24x\\\\24x=846\\\\x=(846)/(24) \\\\


x=35.25
