The volume of a gas increases when it is placed in a closed container if the temperature increases, but the pressure remains the same. There is a direct relationship between volume and temperature. When one is increase, the other is automatically increased. Molecules of gases expands when temperature is increased. Due to expansion of gas molecules, the gas molecules occupy more space and so volume of gas particles increases.
