Answer:

y=5x+18

Explanation:

Slope intercept form: y=mx+b

m= slope

x= x coordinate

y=y coordinate

and

b= y intercept (beginning point)

8- x coordinate(x value)

-2-y coordinate(y value)

and

5-slope(m)

so

8=-2(5)+b

8=-10+b

18=b

finally,

y=5x+18

hope this helps!

Answer:

2=5(8)+c

Explanation:

Equation on a line, formulae is y=mx+c

Where m is the slope and c is the intercept.

Above we have x as 8 and y as -2 and the slope is 5. Substituting them, we have

-2=5(8)+c

Making c the subject

-2-5(8)=c

c=-2-5(8)

c=-2-40

c=-42
