Marcelia has been promoted and is moving her family to a new city in a different part of the country. Though 4-year-old Fernando is very happy and makes the transition easily, 13-year-old Jorge is unhappy and has a very difficult time adjusting to the move. Which single set of factors best explains the different responses of Fernando and Jorge to the move?

Answer:

Though 4-year-old Fernando is very happy and makes the transition easily,

( the transition is easier for Fernando due to his little age, in this age 4 is easier to make new friends)

13-year-old Jorge is unhappy and has a very difficult time adjusting to the move.

(obviously Jorge, a teenager would have more difficulties to accept the move. Probably he has a girl friend or maybe he is a member of a kind of group that he would not rather be apart.)

Answer:

The single set of factors that best explain their responses is *Life-cycle factors*

Step-by-step explanation:

Life cycle are stages we pass through out our lifetime as humans.

The choices of individuals are always different based on their life-cycle factors, especially with children. Life cycle factors are factors for assessing individuals choices or alternatives based on their age and present state of mind.

Though 4-year-old Fernando is very happy as he is still in adolescence stage which makes the transition very easy for him, while 13-year-old Jorge is quite unhappy, considering her age, there is a tendency she might have a very difficult time adjusting to the move.

The factors which determines their decision are their life-cycle factors.
