Answer: The choice D, x = -3/2, y = 2 or (-3/2, 2)

Explanation:


2x+4y=5\\-2x+3y=9

If this is what you mean...

So (2x+4y)+(-2x+3y) = 5+9

Eliminate Method (2x-2x = 0 we gonna eliminate x)


7y=14\\y=2

Then substitute y in any equations (Do not substitute in both.) For me, I'd substitute in 2x+4y = 5 (You can substitute in -2x+3y = 9 instead.)


2x+4(2)=5\\2x+8=5\\2x=5-8\\2x=-3\\x=-(3)/(2)

So x = -3/2 and y = 2
