Answer:

z = -24

Explanation:

Solving for z

we have to make z the subject of formula :

(z)/(-3) + 36 = 44\\

we can move the 36 to the other side of the equal sign

NOTE: moving a number of one side of the equal sign to another , this changes the sign of the number ( eg +36 becomes -36 )

(z)/(-3) = 44- 36

(z)/(-3) = 8

z = 8 * -3

z = -24

Answer:

z= -24

Explanation:

First, subtract 36 to both sides.

z/-3+36= 44

-36 -36

z/-3= 8

Now, multiply both sides by -3 to isolate the variable.

(z)/(-3) ×(-3)= 8(-3)

z= -24
