The base of a right triangle is 12 cm, and the height is 7 cm. What is the area of the triangle? A) 19 cm2 B) 26 cm C) 42 cm2 Eliminate D) 84 cm2 Please Help Guys

A=height×base÷2

A=7×12÷2

7×12=84

84×2=42 cm2

Answer: C) 42cm2

Height x Base divided by 2

12x7=84 divided by 2 = 42cm2

the reason why we divide by 2 is becuase if we dont we have the area of a rectangle not a triangle.
