Answer:

x=3 and
y=40

Explanation:

Given:

y=2x(4+x)-2 Equation:1

x=3 Equation:2

Putting the value of 'x' in Equation:1 to find the value of 'y'

y=2x(4+x)-2

Solving the equation by putting 'x=3'

y=2(3)(4+3)-2

y=6(7)-2

y=42-2

y=40

So, the values are :
x=3 and
y=40
