PLEASE HELP!!!

TriangleABC has vertices A(−4, 3) , B(2, 3) , and C(−5, 1) . A dilation with a scale factor of 5 and center at the origin is applied to this triangle.

What are the coordinates of C′ in the dilated image?

Enter your answer in the boxes.

Answer:

The answer is (-25,5)

Explanation:

You're multiplying your scale factor (5) by C's coordinates (-5,1)

-5 x 5 = -25

1 x 5 = 5

=( -25 , 5 )

Hope this helped! :)

C’ is the dilated coordinate (-5,1) with the scale factor of 5. Since the center of dilation is the origin, I believe that you simple multiply each value in the coordinate by this number.
So C’=(-5*5, 1*5)
OR (-25, 5)
