I need help solving systems of linear equations by substitution.

The problem is
{4x-3=5
-8x+6y=-10

Answer:

x = 2 and y = 1

Explanation:

4x = 5+3

4x = 8

x = 8/4

x= 2

so substitute the value of x in the second problem

-8(2) + 6y = -10

-16 + 6y = -10

6y= -10 + 16

6y= 6

y= 6/6

y = 1
