Let the original number is x

5% increase = 0.05 x

So, the number will be = 0.05 x + x = 1.05 x

15% increase = 0.15 * 1.05 x = 0.1575 x

So, the number will be = 0.1575 x + 1.05 x = 1.2075 x

S. the total increase = 1.2075 x - x = 0.2075 x

And the decimal multiplier = 0.2075

And the total increase as a percentage = 0.2075 * 100 % = 20.75%
