Explanation:

In a quadrilateral:

Slopes can be used to determine whether sides are parallel or perpendicular.

If the sides are parallel then the quadrilateral will be a parallelogram and if sides are parallel and perpendicular then it would be a square or rectangle.

Distance formula is used to determine the lengths of sides of quadrilateral.
