Why would support groups help people stay clean and sober?

A support group can them because they need to have someone there for them and they need to know that there is someone out in the world that believes in them! Both my mom and dad are recovering addicts and they have remanded clean for a while because those support groups helped and believed in them. Just a little action can go so far and give someone so much hope!

In my Opinion support groups can help them because being around people who also understand what you’re going through can help you kind of get in perspective of what you’re doing and help you get better and feel better knowing it’s not just you going through it.
